Kristin Lowrey enjoys working alongside families in order to help guide them to a place of healing and appreciates the opportunity to share her knowledge about helping children with attachment challenges. She has presented at national and international professional conferences as well as national adoption/foster care conferences.
Her clinical interests include childhood trauma, attachment struggles, and parenting, specializing in work with foster and adoptive families. Kristin has many years of clinical experience working with adults, children, couples, and families.
Kristin is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and is certified for Private Independent Practice of Social Work in the areas of social casework, clinical social work, and social work administration. She is also a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and is trained in utilizing Theraplay techniques and the Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) model to work with children who have attachment challenges. Kristin has also received training in the utilization of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), helping individuals process trauma.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Harding University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore with a concentration in Clinical Work with Families and Children.
Kristin has been with Pathways since 2010 and has served as Clinical Director of Children and Adolescents since 2016.
