Neill Hunter uses several different counseling models with his background in family systems including Solution-Focused, Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, Bowen Family Systems, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. He works with children, families, individuals, and couples in his counseling. Neill likes to incorporate the entire family in the counseling process, even when seeing children and individuals.

Neill is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor. He is also a Licensed Marriage & Family Supervisor. Neill is certified to administer PREPARE/ENRICH Assessments, a tool for pre-marital/marital counseling. He is certified to teach and write home studies using the PRIDE/SAFE Training to families looking to foster and adopt children and is also certified to use the Beck Depression and Anxiety Inventories, as well as the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory, and Taylor Johnson Temperament Analysis. 

He started his counseling degree in 1999 with a desire to work with couples and families from a Biblical and Christian focus. Neill graduated from John Brown University in Arkansas in 2001 with a MS Degree with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and has been a licensed counselor since 2004 in Arkansas.

Neill moved to Alabama in 2015 to be near his two children, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren. He has been married for thirty-nine years. Besides spending time with his grandchildren, Neill has a passion for mission trips and has been going to Romania since 2001.

He has been with Pathways since March of 2018.
