Renay Carroll has worked in many different settings including hospitals, nursing homes, and outpatient treatment centers. She has experience working with children, adolescents, individual adults and couples. She utilizes play therapy and prescriptive interventions in her work with children.
She is a dynamic speaker and has presented on many topics including family issues, working with children, grief, and divorce. She has also responded many times after a traumatic event has occurred in a community, church, or school.
Renay is a Nationally Certified, Licensed Professional Counselor and is a member of the Alabama Association for Play Therapy.
She attended the University of Montevallo and received her Bachelor in Social Work with a minor in Music. She went on to pursue her Master’s Degree at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Christian Education. She then completed post graduate work in counseling at the University of Alabama.
Renay is married with two adult children.
She has been with Pathways since 1997.
