Counselor/Therapist

Pathways Professional Counseling, sister ministry of Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes, has an excellent full-time opportunity as a Professional Counselor/Therapist in the Birmingham area. This position would provide individual and family counseling to children, teens, and adults. They will also provide workshops, conferences, and be a resource to local churches as needed in order to bring hope and restoration to children, individuals, and families through the work of Jesus Christ.

Applicants must have a master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work from an accredited college or university. Applicants must also hold a current Professional Counselor License from the State of Alabama or be working toward professional licensure. Comparable licensure will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If licensure is not obtained within 6 months, the employee may be ineligible to continue employment. Experience in individual and group counseling with a wide range of clients, including children. Applicants must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including some evening hours.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a good driving record, and pass pre-employment screenings including criminal background.
