Meg Edney believes that everyone has a story, and that story informs everything that we experience and do. She comes alongside the client creating a warm and compassionate environment to heal. She helps her clients to process their story utilizing an integrative approach. Her hope for her client is that after working with her, they would be able to see themselves and their stories through a healed gospel lens.
Meg is a Licensed Independent Social Worker. She earned her Master of Social Work from Samford University and holds a Master of Christian Education with a concentration in Social Work from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Intercultural Studies from William Carey University. She is also trained in Story-Informed Trauma Therapy, EMDR, and in Level One Theraplay.
Prior to Pathways, Meg gained experience in a variety of settings including working with domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, university counseling and Title IX services, juvenile probation services, the unhoused population, adults with special needs, and in public schools. Her experience with individuals, children, and their families has given her a window into many of the hard realities her clients may face.
Outside of the counseling office, Meg can be found spending time with her family or curling up with a good book and her cat, Hattie.
