Michael Martin

THERAPIST IN SHEFFIELD & HARTSELLE // Therapist | M.Ed., LPC-S, NCC

Michael Martin is a relationally focused counselor who enjoys working with clients of all ages. He utilizes a Christ-centered, collaborative, and family-focused approach when working with children, adults, and couples. Michael is licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Alabama. He is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors. 

Michael completed his Master of Education Degree in Couples and Family Counseling at the University of Montevallo. Prior to joining Pathways, Michael worked in various counseling and leadership roles at a clinical treatment center. He also has experience working in church-based counseling. Michael has completed additional training in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Level 1 Training in Theraplay. As a lifelong learner, Michael has also completed a non-degree program through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Outside of counseling, Michael and his family live in “The Shoals” area of North Alabama. He enjoys spending time with his family, serving at his local church, and learning new things.
