Michael Martin

Michael Martin is a relationally focused counselor who enjoys working with clients of all ages and their families. He utilizes a Christ-centered approach that incorporates techniques from the motivational interviewing approach to counseling, solution focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family systems theory.

Michael is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Alabama. Prior to joining Pathways, Michael worked in various counseling and leadership roles in a clinical treatment center. He also has experience working in a church-based counseling center. He completed his Master of Education Degree in Couples and Family Counseling at the University of Montevallo. 

Outside of counseling, Michael and his family live in “The Shoals” area of North Alabama. He enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and learning new things.
