Ross Hickman utilizes a prescriptive pragmatic approach that involves tailoring interventions to fit a client’s specific needs in hopes of maximizing positive results. His work typically involves some cognitive-behavioral interventions. He has experience working with children, teens, adults, and is passionate about helping those who have experienced trauma.
Ross is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and in 2014, he earned his LPC-Supervisor credential. He is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), helping individuals process trauma, and is certified to administer PREPARE/ENRICH Assessments, a tool for pre-marital/marital counseling. He is also a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Grand Canyon University, his Master of Arts in Community Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and his Master of Business Administration through Louisiana State University-Shreveport in April 2019.
Ross has been with Pathways since 2007, serving as Pathways Vice-President from 2012 to 2016 and as President since 2017.
